STRIVE Project - World Bank Assisted-Government of India Project

Skills Strengthening for Industrial Value Enhancement (STRIVE) project is a World Bank Assisted-Government of India project with the objective of improving the relevance and efficiency of skills training provided (apprenticeship System) through a cluster approach.

We are glad to announce that our efforts in imparting skill training to the youth through our Skill Centre have been appreciated by the Govt. of India and our FIA Skill Development Centre (Regt. Basic Training Provider, BTP) under NAPS by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India has been selected as one of the Industry Cluster (IC) under STRIVE Project by the Ministry of Skill Development & Industrial Training Department wherein a grant upto Rs. 1.00 Crore per Industry Cluster is provided by DGT, GoI.

Currently, the following Trades are approved at FIA Skill Development Centre under this Project:-

Industry is free to engage fresher as well ITI Pass out candidates under this STRIVE Project. The Annual Procurement plan regarding STRIVE Project is attached herewith.

An awareness session on “Apprenticeship Act – 1961” was held on 28th March, 2024 at FIA Office under the STRIVE project. During the session Mr. Sajan K Jain, Chairman, Indo Autotech Ltd., and Past President, FIA was the Chief Guest.

The session was very informative. Members were informed about the benefits of NAPS scheme and also encouraged to engage apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act – 1961.
